This term Reza Beyad and Dr Parmley organised an exhibition of artwork for the Kids Company Competition at the Halcyon Gallery in Mayfair.
The theme they chose for the competition was beds, on the basis that the money raised will help to furnish the bedrooms of these Kids Company children with much-needed essentials. There were approximately 120 competition entries from all year groups in the School and some from parents and staff.
The displays, curated by Old Harrodian and Art Historian Sahar Beyad, successfully showcased the breadth of talent and diversity of artwork across the age range. Parents and children were clearly proud that their artwork was being displayed at such an illustrious venue and being judged by Art specialists from two of the most famous auction houses in London.
The judges viewed all the competition entries with careful consideration and by the end of the evening they had finally agreed a shortlist. The winners in each category, as well as the overall winner, were announced on 13 September at a Celebrity Gala Dinner at Mansion House.
