These unfinished mixed media drawings include the application of a black variegated gold leaf and graded pencils and are works in progress by one class in the 11s (Y7). The drawings form part of a project in which the pupils have also made work in response to the branches and seeds of the London Plane trees in our car park at school. The body of work also includes transfer prints and drawings of other botanical illustrations from The British Museum. 

The Art department organised a Saturday Sculpture workshop for 13s Art pupils, encouraging them to try new materials and improve their 3D artwork skills.

The starting point for the making of these sculptures by 12W (Year 8) was a series of line and tonal drawings from direct observation of a variety of shells on display in the art room. In exploring these natural forms, pupils have selected and abstracted qualities in response to their own sculptures.

In December our Pre-Prep staff ran the Santa race at Richmond Park and raised £1,750 in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice. Our 14s and 15s pupils also thought about how they could make it a warmer winter for others, as they bought and wrapped presents for women and children at Sutton Women’s Centre.  Read more...

Harrodian’s third annual Film Festival showcased films that were created, produced and directed entirely by pupils in the 13s and above. A total of ten films were shortlisted and shown on a cinema screen in the Theatre in front of an expert judging panel. Read More...
