Mrs Doble who teaches Maths at the Harrodian has just received a Swan Award at the annual Arts Richmond Presentation evening.

Arts Richmond is a charity which supports cultural events within Richmond Borough and Swan Awards are given annually for the best performances across all amateur dramatic company productions during the year.

Mrs Doble was awarded the Best Actress Award jointly with her co-star in Vita and Virigina by Eileen Atkins, a play chronicling the lives of Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf through their letters and writing.  Mrs Doble played the part of Virginia Woolf and was particularly commended for her research into the real-life character of Virgin, including her descent into depression and eventual suicide.
