An understanding of History is essential in making sense of the world we live in today. Pick up any newspaper and it will contain stories that cannot be fully understood without knowledge of the past. From economic problems to the War on Terror, it is impossible to fully appreciate the issues of the world without knowing why they exist. An understanding of History makes you a more informed voter, a more responsible citizen, and it gives you the skills to access the media and distinguish fact from fiction. History at the Harrodian teaches you skills like debating, information analysis, structured writing, philosophy, theology, economics, data analysis and research. Your vocabulary will also improve.
