The Learning Support Department offers a nurturing environment where, at any stage of their schooling, pupils may access the extra support they need to help them to work to their individual strengths and to achieve their best.

Harrodian is non-selective at the Pre-Prep entry point and caters for boys and girls of average to high academic ability. Naturally, during their schooling some pupils are identified with possible learning difficulties, health problems and/or emotional or behavioural difficulties. In these cases, our two SENCos (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) work closely with Heads of Year to initiate a process of assessment and action that will support the pupil. Some of these pupils benefit from one-to-one lessons provided by our team of specialist teachers, who liaise closely with the pupil's classroom teachers.

In December our Pre-Prep staff ran the Santa race at Richmond Park and raised £1,750 in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice. Our 14s and 15s pupils also thought about how they could make it a warmer winter for others, as they bought and wrapped presents for women and children at Sutton Women’s Centre.  Read more...

Harrodian’s third annual Film Festival showcased films that were created, produced and directed entirely by pupils in the 13s and above. A total of ten films were shortlisted and shown on a cinema screen in the Theatre in front of an expert judging panel. Read More...
