Visiting Singing Teacher (Musical Theatre Specialist) for September 2017

The Harrodian School is seeking to appoint a Visiting Singing Teacher to join our successful and vibrant Music department as soon as possible. The ideal candidate would be a highly skilled and experienced singing teacher specialising in Musical Theatre. There are three full-time and three part-time music teachers at Harrodian as well as a team of 20 visiting music staff, teaching a variety of instruments. Approximately 450 instrumental and vocal lessons take place each week as well as a wide range of choirs and ensembles.

The Music Department is housed in its own building and incorporates 3 teaching classrooms, 7 practice rooms and an auditorium space for concerts and recitals. There are 12 iMacs in the department, each running Logic Pro X, Garageband and Sibelius 7 software.

Founded in 1993, the Harrodian School is co-educational and set in 25 acres of ground with excellent facilities.

In December our Pre-Prep staff ran the Santa race at Richmond Park and raised £1,750 in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice. Our 14s and 15s pupils also thought about how they could make it a warmer winter for others, as they bought and wrapped presents for women and children at Sutton Women’s Centre.  Read more...

Harrodian’s third annual Film Festival showcased films that were created, produced and directed entirely by pupils in the 13s and above. A total of ten films were shortlisted and shown on a cinema screen in the Theatre in front of an expert judging panel. Read More...
