Saskia Flower and Charlotte Poulter (both in L6A) organized a charity dinner with the help of Senior School staff in aid of the children’s hospice Shooting Star Chase. The charity supports local families with children or teenagers who have life-limiting conditions and are not expected to reach their 19th birthday.
They currently help over 500 families living in the West London, Surrey and West Sussex areas. The dinner took place at Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant, Westfield. Guests paid for a set menu and enjoyed an entertaining evening with both a raffle and auction. The restaurant took a percentage of the charge to each guest to cover their costs and the remainder was donated to the charity. Charlotte’s brother and Old Harrodian, Will Poulter, made a star appearance at the dinner with the director of his latest film, Dexter Fletcher. The evening was a huge success and a total of nearly £7,000 was raised for the Shooting Star Chase.
