PP2 have been learning about Roald Dahl as an author and studying his imaginative stories as part of their Summer Term literacy topic.

In particular they have been reading The BFG and Matilda. Pupils were even taken on a surprise trip to see Matilda the Musical at the theatre.

To enhance their learning even further, PP2 were also taken to visit the Roald Dahl Gallery where they entered the author’s magical world and which they explored by using all their senses and engaging in fun activities.

The children had the chance to take a ride in Charlie’s Elevator, to climb through Fantastic Mr Fox’s Tunnel and to enter Matilda’s Library and the crazy world of the Twits. Back at school both classes held a Roald Dahl workshop at which they made their own dream bottles and wrote amazing dream stories to fill them with.
